Go Big! Mixed Media Animal Collage

“Go Big! Mixed Media Animal Collage” is an 8-week class designed to help students feel comfortable working on larger canvases while exploring fun and expressive mixed-media techniques. Each student will choose an animal of their choice as their subject and learn how to build a colorful, layered collage from start to finish.

Throughout the course, students will receive one-on-one help from the instructor, along with demonstrations that show each step of the process. We will also experiment with a variety of additional mediums to create richer layers and more dynamic textures, encouraging students to fully explore the possibilities of mixed media.

The focus of the class is to encourage students to take creative risks, work larger than they might be used to, and experiment with color, pattern, and texture.

By the end of the 8 weeks, students will complete a large-format mixed-media collage and feel more confident tackling big, ambitious art projects.
