Create beautiful monoprints with gelli plates!
Get ready to explore the playful world of monoprinting with gelli plates! In this class, you will:
• Learn the basics of gelli plate printing and how to build layered prints using stencils, textures, and masks.
• Experiment with color mixing to create harmonious and vibrant palettes.
• Explore mark-making techniques to develop your own unique visual language.
Over four weeks, you will build confidence with gelli printing techniques while creating a beautiful collection of prints to use in your future art projects.

SUPPLIES TO BRING
• Gelli plate (any size, 5x7” or 8x10” recommended)
• Brayer (soft rubber brayer for rolling paint)
• Acrylic paints (a few colors you love + black and white)
• Different types of paper for printing (ex: copy paper, deli paper, rice paper, old books,etc)
• Stencils
- Posca Acrylic Pens
• Textured items for printing (bubble wrap, leaves, lace, mesh, textured paper towels, etc.)
• Baby wipes or damp rags for cleanup
• Apron
- Hair Dryer
- Painters tape
-Paper Towels
Behnaz will also bring these same supplies.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Behnaz is a mixed media artist, painter, and art instructor based in Colorado. She has been teaching art classes to adults for several years. Her work combines painting, collage, and handmade papers to create vibrant pieces inspired by nature and pattern. While Behnaz explores many mediums, she believes in the importance of play, experimentation, and building confidence through art.
