This course is an Introduction to the Zentangle®, an art method that uses repetitive patterns to create beautiful designs. 

Students will learn:

• The basics of "tangling" in which you will complete 1-2 "tiles" (tiles are the paper on which you'll be drawing.
  
• A relaxing and calm method of creating art, can be used anywhere, and can be integrated into other artworks.
  
• The 8 principles of Zentangle® will be introduced.

Level

Beginner (students with Zentangle experience are welcome to take this as a refresher).

Supplies

All supplies are included in the class fee and provided by the instructor.

• 5 official Zentangle® tiles
  
• A Black, 01 Micron Pen
  
• A Black, PN Micron Pen
  
• A Graphite pencil
  
• A blending stump (tortillion)
  
• A pencil sharpener
  
• A  Zentangle® muslin drawstring bag to hold all supplies

About the Instructor

Cindy joined the Park Hill Art Club in October 2022 and is now the communications coordinator for the club. After a 35-year career in public education, art entered Cindy’s life. A self-taught artist who is a Certified Zentangle® Teacher, a Creative Depth® Coach, a bestselling author, and a SoulCollage® Facilitator, she believes that everyone can be creative and believes in the healing nature of art. She has had her work in several art shows. Cindy’s art started with ink and has evolved into mixed media works.
