Enjoy outdoor painting with the Park Hill Art Club!

COST: Free

WHEN: Every Thursday through October

WHERE: Different location each week (see below)

TIME: Meet at 9:00 AM (earlier when hot, later when it turns cold)

WHO: All painters and friends. Feel free to copy.

BRING:  Art supplies, water, sun block, chair, umbrella, lunch, sunscreen.

SCHEDULE & LOCATIONS

Thursday, September 8.  Audubon Center at Chatfield State Park 9308 S. Wadsworth Blvd

(Note: it is not the one in Chatfield park, it is further south) The Audubon Center at Chatfield is located on the southwest end of of Chatfield State Park. From I-25 take C-470 west to Wadsworth Blvd about 4.4miles, Past the main park entrance. Continue to Waterton Road and turn left and continue to left to parking lot at the Audubon Center sign. Views of reservoir, mountains. Outhouse no water.

Thursday, September 15. Littleton Historic Museum.

May be a charge or donation. Re-creation of early life in Colorado. An 1860’s cabin, a house built in 1910. Barns, farm fields, people in period costumes, blacksmith shop etc. South on Broadway to Littleton Blvd., to Gallup Street. Turn left (South) and go several blocks to entrance and parking lot.

Thursday, September 22. Belmar Park Near Alameda and Wadsworth.

Great view of the mountains, Old buildings and farm equipmet, Lake. About 3 blocks South of Alameda on Wadsworth. Take 6th Ave to Wadsworth, head south to Ohio. Turn Right on Ohio (west.) It will say Heritage Center. Turn left into park area.

Thursday, September 29. 17 Mile House, Farm and park. 8181 S. Parker Rd.

Farm house and old buildings with a couple of windmills. Close to Cherry Creek. From Denver going south, take Parker Rd past Arapahoe Rd South. You will pass Bronco Pkwy and Tagawa's exit. There is another road then a quick exit from the right lane. There is a large parking lot and out house but no water.

Thursday, October 6 Cherry Creek Reservoir.

Entrance off Parker Road past Hampden exit. Probably meet on Lake loop Road East or near the Rocky Mt, Rowing Club area . State park pass fee. Restrooms/water in some areas.

Thursday, October 20. Star K Ranch (Part of Sand Creek Green Way in Aurora.)

Take I-70 East to Chambers. Go South on Chambers to Smith Road. Go East on Smith Road to Laredo. Turn right and follow curve about 1block. The Morrison Nature Center (Star K Ranch) will be on the left. Ranger station, Water, indoor restrooms, trails, trees, deer, & small creek.

Thursday October 27 Hudson Gardens 6115 So. Santa Fe Drive.

A botanical garden of beautiful flowers. Even a model train. West side of Santa Fe Drive about one mile south of Bellview Ave. Restroom and water.
