    This workshop is for acrylic and/or oil painters, all levels.
    We will begin with exercises to learn different techniques regarding how to load
    and hold and apply paint with various palette knives.
    We will work from photo reference of your choice, or you may choose to work
    non - objective abstract.
    Plan to arrive at the art gym at 9:00 - 9:15 to get set - up.

    Supply list

    Stand - alone/or table top easel
    Sketch pad for exercises (any size is fine)
    Palette knives of various sizes and shapes (plastic and metal)
    Paint palette
    Paper towels
    Acrylic paints + heavy gel medium (NO student grade, i.e. basic acrylics)
    Oil paints (+ cold wax optional), Gamsol mineral spirits
    Two canvases and/or boards ....size of your choice .
    (If you are planning to do a landscape/or floral theme, toning your canvas or
    board with a red/orange acrylic is a nice base . Do so before class, please).
