Painting Aspens with a Palette Knife and Acrylics  - Candace French 

Learn how to use a palette knife to paint a beautiful aspen landscape. This workshop is fun and exciting as you practice palette knife painting techniques with acrylics. Students will be guided in painting a background of your choice including skies, fields or mountains. Then, add aspens for an amazing acrylic landscape. An overview of art supplies, composition and how to know when your artwork is complete will also be covered. Candace's teaching style is engaging and inspiring. This workshop is open to all levels and is geared toward beginning and intermediate artists. Supply list to be emailed prior to the class.

 

Candace French is an award winning Mixed Media Artist who is committed to sparking joy through creating and teaching art. Her paintings involve layers of concealing, revealing and enhancing brilliant colors, texture and light. Above all, she adores texture. Candace takes an intuitive approach while experimenting with an ever-expanding range of mixed media. She also keeps her creativity alive by drawing inspiration from Mark Rothko and Clyfford Still. Candace enjoys playful expression and sees it as vital to her work. The greatest joy for her is in the endless possibilities of discovery and sharing her joy with others.
