Artist Bio
As an introduction to my experiences in art it did not involve any formal college education and I don't have any degrees to speak of. My love of expressing myself in art has been a lifetime dream of mine and my accomplishments so far are an artistic journey I am very proud of.
My journey with regards to art began early in my life. In high school my love of creating art was a passion that I excelled in. Some of my works were displayed in the downtown store window of the May D&F store in Downtown Denver. There may be many of you who would remember that store and time frame. Later, in my life I attended a watercolor class at the Meadow Wood recreational center in Aurora CO, where my teacher, Penny Lager, taught me the beginning watercolor techniques. During this period, I decided to start taking classes at Park Hill Art Club, in Denver, CO., to refine my techniques even further. During my tenor with PHAC , some of my teachers were Randy Hale, and Kathleen Lanzoni Watercolor Instructors. Victoria Kwasinski and Jennifer Bobola who are Acrylic/Oil instructors in Abstract Art.
In 2016 I ventured into another intriguing form of art expression; it was Alcohol Ink. I experimented with this medium on ceramic tiles and Yupo paper and other non-porous surfaces, and found it was a very exciting medium to work with. It is just as formidable, if not more so, than watercolor. The effects created were beyond my expectations.
In 2018 I discovered another art form, Mandala painting. This is a very relaxing form of art expression for me and I am excited to see the different pieces I can create with just “dots”.
I will always continue to explore and improve myself in art in all sorts of mediums.
