Thursday, May 30, 2019 Denver Botanic Gardens. 10th Ave. and York. “1007 York St,” Parking lot across the street with access from both York and Josephine. NOTE: Admission fee. Meet inside front gate. Beautiful flower gardens. Restrooms/water/food.
Thursday, June 6, 2019 Red Rocks ParkSpectacular red rock formations, view of Denver. Meet at visitors center (Trading Post.) Take I-70 to the Morrison exit. Go left (South) on Highway 26 to park entrance than follow the signs. Restrooms, water, restaurant available at Trading Post.
Thursday, June 13, 2019 PineValley Ranch Park Part of Jefferson Co. open space. Scenic area on the N. fork of the S. Platte River. Small lake with mountain view. Cliffs rise above river. Take U.S. Highway 285 to pine Junction. (about 29 miles on 285, from Federal to Pine Junction.) Turn left our southeast onto Pine Valley Road (County Road 126) Continue 5.8 miles almost to the town of Pine, and follow the signs to the park. Water and restrooms and tables.
Thursday, June 20th, 2019 Audubon Center at Chatfield State Park 9308 S. Wadsworth Blvd
Littleton, The Audubon Center at Chatfield is located on the southwest end Chatfield State Park in Littleton, CO From I-25 & C-470, go west on C-470 about 12 miles Exit onto Wadsworth Blvd Go south on Wadsworth Blvd about 4.4 miles, PAST the main entrance for Chatfield State Park Turn left /east on Waterton Road Immediately turn left into the first parking lot at the Audubon Center sign. Views of reservoir, mountains, Bathrooms no water.
Thursday, June 27th, 2019 White Ranch Park Great view of the mountains, foothills and eastern plains, shade trees and picnic tables. Take 6th Ave. to golden or I-70 to 6th than past Golden. Keep going straight, it turns into 93 (to Boulder). About 1.2 miles turn left on Golden Gate road. The sign will read White Ranch Park and Golden Gate Park. Continue for about 3.8 miles to Belcher Road. It will be a very sharp turn on Belcher. Road will end in park. If in doubt the way is well marked with signs. Restrooms/water?

Thursday, July 18th, 2019 Lookout Mountain ParkPretty park on top of Lookout Mountain. Take I-70 west to the foothills Exit # 256. Exit and follow sighs on highway 40 to lookout Mountain road, (68 or Lariat Loop Road.) The park is next to the road to the Cody museum and grave. Trees, tables, shelter, great view, restrooms, no water. You can take the back way : highway 6 past I-70 to golden. Turn left at 19th street. There will be a sigh saying Lookout Mountain. Follow the road 5.1 miles to Lookout mountain Park.
Thursday, July 25th , 2019 Lair’O The Bear Park Mountain park along Bear Creek. Pretty river, trees, mountain side, picnic tables near the creek, Take I-70 to C470 Morrison Road exit. Go West through Morrison and up Bear Creek Canyon on Highway 74. Park is a short distance on the left past Idledale and is well marked. Restrooms/water.
Thursday, August 1st, 2019 South Valley Parknear E-470 and Wadsworth. Near Lockheed. Good biew of front range. Take E-470 to Ken Carl Rd exit. Head south about 3/10 mile to So. Lair’O The Bear Park Mountain park along Bear Creek. Pretty river, trees, mountain side, picnic tables near the creek, Take I-70 to C470 Morrison Road exit. Go West through Morrison and up Bear Creek Canyon on Highway 74. Park is a short distance on the left past Idledale and is well marked. Restrooms/water.Valley Rd. for about 3/10 mile to So. Valley Rd for 2/10 mile te. Entrance will be on the left. Shelters and rest rooms.
Thursday, August 8th, 2019 Eldorado State Park Take 6 avenue west to Golden. It turns into 93. Continue north about 18 miles to the Eldorado Springs exit. Head west on Eldorado Springs Dr through the town until the end of the road. Restrooms, Water, visitor center. Road is gravel for a while. River and woods.
Thursday, August 15th, 2019 Bear Creek Open Space in Lakewood. Take Wadsworth to Yale, head West on Yale to Estes St. (about a mile)Turn left or south on Estes about 1/8 mile into parking lot. Small lake (pond) pretty creek excess, shelter, cottonwoods and willows and trails, portapotties.
Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 17 Mile House, Farm and Park, 8181 S. Parker Rd. Farm house and out buildings with a couple of windmills. Close to Cherry Creek. From Denver, take Parker road past Arapahooe Rd South. You will pass Bronco Pkwy and Tagawa's exit. There is another road then a quick exit from the right lane. There is a large parking lot, an out house but no water.
