Juror Michael Keyes, painter & woodcut printmaker, is PHAC Instructor & past Board member.  He earned a BFA from Wright State Univ, Dayton, Ohio and MFA from Ohio State Univ.  Michael enjoys the tactile sensation of carving blocks of wood, & the dramatic starkness of imagery in prints from them.  His 50 years of woodcut experience includes black-and-white, colored multi-blocks, and hand-colored prints, and features winter landscapes, rural & urban scenes & events, & domestic still life scenes.  He volunteers at Downtown Aurora Visual Arts after school & summer programs.  He is a member of several local art groups and has had many one-person and group shows in and around metro Denver.
